Mission

On May 24, 2010, Bernards Township celebrated the 250th anniversary of its Charter. Oh YES, there was one big CHARTER DAY (See info).

In anticipation of this special occasion, the Township Committee appointed an 11-member 250th Anniversary Task Force. The group’s mission, as stated in the committee’s resolution, is to encourage residents to participate in the anniversary by combining pre-existing events with new celebrations to create a year-long series of events throughout 2010.

While the Task Force will sponsor six events, there are over a dozen separate events that will take place throughout 2010 and this is the only place where you’ll find it all.

The intention of this site is to promote the history of our great area along with communicating about events, ideas, and social awareness to the history of the place so many of us call home.
