THIS IS ALSO THE LAST DAY TO SEE THE HISTORIC BASKING RIDGE GREAT WHITE OAK TREE!!!!!!!
Looking for a fun day out? We're bringing back the Walking Tour of Historic Basking Ridge Village.
Take in the village center, which remains a favorite Bernards Township
gathering place, with attractive shops and restaurants, churches, and what will be the last chance to see the historic great white oak before it is taken down.
One of the best events you'll ever experience. Walk and learn about famous, and not so famous, historic tidbits as you walk the historic downtown village of Basking Ridge in Bernards Township.
Start at the historic 1809 Brick Academy schoolhouse as you learn what it was like to attend a prepatory school of its time. Stroll over to this historic district of Basking Ridge, home to small shops, churches, homes and eateries. Meet some of the local residents and characters that are part of the tour. You never know....you might just get invited in.
Narrated by local resident and THSSH trustee Paula Axt, come for an entertaining hour of great stories and lore from the wonderful past as it comes alive.
Space is limited so register today.
