The Jacobus Vanderveer House is a historic site supported by THSSH and is located in Bedminster, New Jersey (short distance from Basking Ridge and Bernardsville)

Learn about great opportunities to earn community service credits, projects, programs. It’s the History VolunTeens program – open to all high school students in the Somerset Hills area.

Fall 2011 opportunities for community service hours:

The opportunities will be posted on OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. Opportunities are limited and reserved for those who respond first (first come/first serve) – Facebook link.

  • High School Volunteer Night – Monday, September 26, 2011 – Bernards Twp Library 6-8pm
  • 2011 Sign Up sheets will be available. 5-25 hr opportunities:
    • Somerset County History Weekend – Oct 8-9
    • Lord Stirling Festival – 1-2 hours available – Greeter
    • Web Design – Need a VolunTeen to assist design and building THSSH Teen Word Press blog.
    • Facebook Representative – Post events to our Facebook Page
    • Recruit 10 students Program – Get hours just to help spread the word.
    • Oral History Program – 5-50 hour
    • 2011 Holiday Christmas in Bedminster – 5-25 hours

Earn community service hours too! But you have to write your story first. Everyone who writes a story will be entitled to a minimum of two community service hours per story.

All you have to do is submit a subject, receive approval and you’re on your way.
